Professional Portfolio

Welcome!

Picture
My name is Emily Roediger, and I'm currently in my last semester of the M.Ed. in instructional technology program at Georgia Southern University. At the conclusion of my coursework in December 2016, I hope to earn my certification as a school library media specialist. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in English, then pursued graduate work at the University of Georgia, where I earned a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing in 2011. In the fall of 2011, I began teaching English and advanced composition at my current school but moved over to the media center several years later. I have worked as a media specialist for grades 6-12 since August 2014.
This professional portfolio represents the culmination of ITEC coursework, assignments, and research as well as my on-the-job experiences of the last several years. The header navigation at the top of the page will guide you through my philosophy, resume, essays on the AASL initial preparation standards, personal demonstrations of the five roles of the school library media specialist, my professional learning network, and the clinical practicum blog I will keep throughout this last semester of training.
